The Nikki Anorak | Harpe Seal

20,000 DKK

The Nikki Anorak is designed from the shape of the Greenlandic anorak. Before becoming a part of the national suit, the Greenlandic anorak was made from fur with the purpose of keeping the Inuit hunters warm on their hunt of Greenlandic fauna. Great Greenland has brought the functional and isolating features of the Anorak back to the style.

The jacket is made from 100 % sustainably sourced harpe sealskin and hooded with high-quality tanuki trim. Harpe seal, also known as saddleback seal and Greenlandic seal, distinguishes itself from other seal species, by its almost silver-like fur. The fur is more self-coloured, and is typically black nuanced by the head and on the sides, with a horseshoe marking on the back.

All sealskin used in Great Greenland products originates from the Greenlandic coast and are sourced by Inuit hunters. All Greenlandic skins comply with EU legislation and are the only seal skins approved for sale, production, and import in the EU.

Please note that the jacket is made on-demand, and therefore there is 14-day production after ordering.
